Fundraising With a Mardi Gras Theme

Use muted auctions for other solutions by placing them with tables with bid covers. Encourage everyone to bid early and often!

You are able to sell raffle tickets for a grand prize drawing afre the wedding of the night. Additionally you can offer multiple prizes which will allow you to price the raffle tickets higher and raise more money.

Raffle tickets is usually sold before the occurrence with winners not being important to attend. This works particularly well if you have a worthy prize including trip to New Orleans.

Publicity

Put together a press release announcing your event and get it to all the area newspaper, radio, and tv set stations. Highlight your them, promote your cause, conspicuously feature your restaurant accomplice, and play up your live band.

Be sure to produce full contact information along with the who, what, when, when, why, and how in the event. If youre working at pre-event raffle ticket sales, mention that as properly.

Follow up your press release distribution with a phone call to the top mass media outlets. Ask for the person who screens them, such for an associate producer at a radio station. Try for many on air coverage using a unique newsworthy angle.

Summary

Some sort of Mardi Gras night makes an awesome fundraising event where a good time is guaranteed for just about all attendees. This theme allows a lot of additional fundraising activities such as auctions, wine tasting, premium food, and raffles.

A good location, excellent food, and a live band will make your Mardi Gras Fundraiser a night to remember!

In 2008, the 30 days of February was announced, officially, Reggae month in Jamaica, to be observed annually, with not only a series of parties and stage illustrates but, "... a month where we bring together our academic resources... " the Jamaican Prime Minister told an area paper.

In February, the city associated with New Orleans, Louisiana celebrates Mardi Gras: the culmination of a number of festivities beginning in January.

In the spirit from this festive month, I am obliged to enlighten reggae enthusiasts with the little known relationship relating to the two cultures, formed out of your integration of the new music of New Orleans while using the early development of Reggae popular music.

In that late 1800s, an early type of Jamaican folk music played by musicians fusing Africa and European musical traditions was called Mento.

During this 1950s Mento surged in popularity largely as a result of birth of Jamaicas taking industry in 1954, which allowed musicians to help record Mento songs of different varieties and designs and made them available on records.

Despite the popularity of Mento in your neighborhood, it was considered "street music" as a result of local radio station operators, in those days, so the music was passed over for any more "palatable" American Pop and Jazz music.

American Rhythm n Blues reports, were heavily imported as a result of "sound system" operators to provided an alternate to the Pop and Jazz tunes that were being played on nearby radio. These sound systems were mobile entertainment systems along with the disc jockeys or "selectors" that played the records were the entertainers.
